Privacy policy
This policy explains what Threads of Providence (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit this website or buy from us, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- What you give us. Your name, email address, phone number and shipping and billing addresses when you place an order or create an account; the names, dates or words you enter to personalize a product; your email address when you sign up for our newsletter or to hear when we open; and anything you write to us.
- Payment details. Card and wallet payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal. Your full card number goes directly to them and is never stored on our servers. We receive a record of the payment, such as the card type, its last four digits and whether the payment succeeded.
- What your browser sends. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the site that referred you, recorded in our server logs and through the cookies described below.
How we use it
- To make, pack and ship your order, and to send you order and shipping updates.
- To answer your questions and handle returns.
- To send our newsletter, only if you asked for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site secure and to prevent fraud.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share only what each of these needs to do its job:
- Stripe and PayPal, to process your payment.
- Printful, our print-on-demand partner, which prints, packs and ships many of our products. It receives your name, shipping address and the items you ordered, including any personalization.
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your package.
- The companies that host this website and send our email.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our customers, ourselves or others from fraud.
Cookies
We use cookies the store needs in order to work: to keep your cart, keep you signed in, remember your choices and protect our forms. When you check out, Stripe and PayPal may set their own cookies to detect fraud. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout will not work without them.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We keep your account until you ask us to close it, and your newsletter subscription until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have further rights under your state’s law. We will not treat you differently for using them.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We look after your information the way we'd want ours looked after. Everything you send us travels over a secure connection, and we only use it to get your order to you.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
